1) REASONS FOR INCREASING CYBER CRIMES IN NIGERIA, AFRICA AND THE WORLD: It is with deep sense of chagrin that I picked my ball pen to write this article for the world community to know what is going on across the globe and right here in Nigeria where I reside. So many youths are living the dog life (miserable life) and devising different strategies that are evil to make a living. Cyber crime is on the increase here in Nigeria and that is a big threat to unsuspecting individuals or groups across the globe – because many youths are getting more frustrated and applying more strategies that look so real to dupe people. The major cause is UNEMPLOYMENT. The Government of Nigeria is very much aware of this but is responding rather slowly to this bad state of the nation – it is rightly said that “a stitch in time saves nine”. Of the over 150 million people in Nigeria, 70% are youths meaning there are over 100 million youths in Nigeria of which many are unemployed. I feel saddened when I come across so many scam schemes on the internet perpetrated by cyber criminals who have been jobless and frustrated with life.
I will give a simple case scenario of a cyber criminal (a Nigerian) I encountered recently on the internet while reading through my spam emails. I really made it look that I was been fooled by him and danced to his music. However, when he realized that I knew who he was, he had to open up to me and confessed to me that he was doing this act out of frustration of not getting a job after three years of graduating with a second class upper degree. Is this right? I believe the answer to this question should come from the Government of Nigeria.
This post is not restricted to Nigeria alone because other countries of the world are involved in this criminal act. Cyber crime should at all cost be eliminated from the world community. I want to plead with the Government of all countries to try as much as possible to engage youths with gainful employment in their best way. It is sad to see brilliant graduates who are suppose to be exhibiting their talents in different facet of life, getting involved in shameful criminal activities – my heart bleeds.
Integrity is no longer a subject being discussed amongst youths in my country Nigeria, many of them are tired of unemployment, many of them are getting more tensed, many of them are getting more frustrated and regretting why they had to go for their mandatory Youth Service Corps. What is the Government of Nigeria doing? What are the legislators doing? The Central Bank of Nigeria rightly said that the legislators were earning too much, he was almost crucified by the legislators for uttering that statement. He was right. Help the dying youths! Help the frustrated youths and build a great future for them. Get a youth employed today and reduce crime rate successfully. If it means cutting down the pay package for political office holders to employ youths – that is good enough

b) Disregard sms being sent to people’s phone that you have won a trip to Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford for a promo you did not put in for.
c) Nigerian graduates should disregard sms being sent from these two phone numbers that there is free and special job opening in Nigeria Agip Oil Services, the numbers are +234-803-197-7677 and +234-803-255-3520, they are scams.
d) Disregard paid to read and paid to click sites requesting you to become free affiliates to reading emails and getting paid. Just a few of them include www.buxptr.com www.relexmails.com www.boodaq.com www.exclusovemails.com I strongly believe that many of these deceitful sites have facilitators resident in Europe and USA. Don’t only think that cyber criminals are restricted to Nigeria or Africa alone. Watch out for more exposed cyber crimes in few days. Happy NewYear in Advance.

Sanguinary politics, that is what I see us practice in Africa today. Why? Please permit me to say this, the Government of Nigeria is helping in the political issues taking place in Ivory coast with Gbagbo adamant to quit power – what will become of this matter in the next couple of days? I can’t tell.
Nigeria is a renowned country in terms of peacekeeping across the globe. However, there seems to be an unending war in Jos (Plateau State) of Central Nigeria. What is the reason for this – over 83 persons killed and 115 badly injured in December 26th, 2010 bombings. That is terrible!
